My Posters

Last Friday I sent off my posters to Hull, for the second part {dissemination} of the collaborative project with Stephen Sharp. I stuck to my usual anti-aesthetic approach in black and white. I will be interested to see how Stephen's version differs.

Voting Opens

Stephen (and his girlfriend Emily) and I made our way to Hull on Saturday to drop off the ballot boxes and voting cards. While we were there we spent some time in the city centre asking the good people of Hull our four questions in response to the Latitude festival about public art. You can vote on what you think of these same questions by clicking on the poll forms on the right hand side of this blog. The poll is open until 5pm on 7th December, then the calibrated results will be displayed on two limited edition posters which Stephen and I will produce and they can be picked up at the two sites in Hull where the ballot boxes are situated (ARC and the Hull School of Art and Design.)

You will be able to find the ballot boxes in the Hull School of Art and Design and ARC building for 10 days only. After that the votes will be counted and presented in the form of posters which will be distributed from the same location.

Hull Postcards Ordered

On Saturday, 29th November we (Anna Francis and Stephen Sharp) will travel to Hull in order to install our ballot boxes in two sites in Hull. The ballots will aim to ask the people of Hull a number of questions which arise from the Latitude festival's aims and objective. The postcards are now ordered. From these we will be able to generate statistics which show Hull's opinion of Public art. Stephen and I will then each design a different poster in order to relay these statistics back to the paople of Hull. These posters will be able for the people to pick up in the two sites (one poster edition in each site) in order to enacourage people to visit both sites: and changing the way the people of Hull move through public space, and think about public space.
